Joe and his team did a fantastic job on our single storey extension, which included building part of it underground, installing a new door, and fitting ceiling windows. The quality of the work was flawless from start to finish, they delivered exactly what they promised.
The work was done on time, to a great standard. Joe is creative in finding solutions to tricky issues and is fair and transparent on pricing. They are trustworthy and respectful. The house was always left tidy at the end of a work day. I couldn’t recommend more.

The same name keeps coming up
Joe is named in every one of those reviews, and that is not an accident. He runs the jobs, he is on site, and he is the person you speak to when something needs deciding. You are not passed between a salesman, a co-ordinator and a subcontractor who has never met either of them.
The other thread running through the reviews is communication. Dates, costs and problems get said out loud early. When something unexpected turns up behind a wall, and on older Sussex properties it often does, we tell you what it means for the programme and the price before we carry on.

The work behind the reviews
Read the our reviews together and you get a fair picture of what we do. A single-storey extension with groundwork and rooflights. A full kitchen and bathroom fit-out with flooring and external rendering as part of a wider renovation. Knocking through a wall to form a new doorway, which is structural alteration work and needs doing properly with the right steel and the right sign-off.
Because we self-deliver carpentry and joinery, electrics, plumbing and heating, groundwork, rendering, flooring and roofing, most of that happens with our own people. It is the reason dates hold.
Most of our work is close to home in Worthing, Goring and Rustington, and as the SW18 review shows, we also take jobs further afield when the project is right.

They are not hosted by us. Every review on this page was submitted through Checkatrade, which contacts the customer and checks the job before the review goes live. You can read all four on our Checkatrade profile, along with the scores for quality of work, reliability and communication.
Why are there only our reviews?
Because we joined Checkatrade in April 2025 and only started collecting reviews then. The business itself goes back three generations and 65 years in the trade, and the team has over 30 years of combined on-site experience. We could have filled this page with unverified quotes, but we would rather show you four you can check.
What is the Checkatrade £1,000 guarantee?
It is cover provided by Checkatrade to its members’ customers, worth up to £1,000. Checkatrade sets the terms and the claim process, so check the details on their site before you rely on it. It sits alongside our own comprehensive insurance, which we carry as standard on every job.
Can I see work in progress before I commit?
Usually, yes. If we have a job running near you and the customer is happy for a visit, we will arrange it. It is the fairest way to judge a builder, because you see how the site is run, not just the finished photographs.
